You Hung The Moon

Well, you built the Eiffel Tower in Paree, that was easy
Tower of Pisa, Mona Lisa, ‘twas a piece a, cake for you.
When I saw that big ol’ ladder, I was not surprised
Should have known what you were up to from that look in your eyes.

And I guess you hung the moon.
I guess you hung the moon.

I guess if you’re you, you only need a hammer and a nail.
Some nights it’s big and round, some nights it’s curled up like a snail.
And I think what’s reall nice is that everyone can see
But I think what’s even nicer is it’s up there just for me.

And I guess you hung the moon
I guess you hung the moon.

You hung the moon, with little ol’ me in mind
And you made the sun, in case I should go blind.

I worry about you every night just before dark
Afraid you’ll fall in the ocean and get ate up by a shark
But when I see that big ol’ moon start to rise up high
I know you come on home, safe and sound from the sky.

And I guess you hung the moon
I guess you hung the moon.
