Marina

Marina and me ain’t gotten along
Since pretty soon after the time we left Kiev
Those were the good times, those were the golden times
Bverything turned sour ever since we left Kiev

I’d like to have a kid, I’d like to have a kid
But Marina can’t have them no matter what we tried
And believe me we tried, and after a while
We stopped trying, we just stopped trying

Sometimes I feel
Something huge is just about to happen to me
But hey, every man with big dreams
Probably feels that way

I got me a rifle I ordered through the mail
Marina didn’t like it, she don’t understand ‘bout stuff like that
We spent some time in New Orleans and way down in Mexico
I like the warm weather I only weigh 150 pounds

Autumn’s kicking in, soon it will be November
And pretty soon Christmas, and who really knows
What changes will come down, what things will look like then
I’m getting all these phone calls, it will soon be time to travel

Sometimes I feel, something huge is about to happen to me
But hey, every man with big dreams probly feels that way

Every time that I feel something is just about to break for me
Something else comes along and takes it away from me

I’m not exactly sure how long we’ve been in Dallas
Sometimes it feels like days, and sometimes like forever
Marina and me aren’t talking, no one tells me anything
Feels just like I’m floating ever since we left Kiev

Sometimes I feel something huge is about to happen to me
But hey, every man with big dreams probly feels that way

Autumn’s kicking in
Soon it will be November
And then before we know it
1964
