The Bears Don’t Find My Bacon

What a relief to be here at last
Today I don’t expect to do much hiking
The falls are dry, it’s cool and green
I shall have to be careful that the bears don’t find my bacon

I forgot to tell you that some tramp found my pack
A jar of peanut butter was all that he was takin
I found a campin place, had my food and made my bed
I shall have to be careful that the bears don’t find my bacon

The deer are tame as dogs, almost
I will walk around the valley, take it easy

I found a crowd of campers they was havin entertainment
Some harmonica was played and some songs was to my likin
Then some feller played the bagpipes so I went back to my camp
I shall have to be careful that the bears don’t find my bacon
I shall have to be careful that the bears don’t find my bacon
I shall have to be careful that the bears don’t find my bacon
